Susan Tiffen
Artist Bio
I grew up on Long Island taking lots of pictures (my father was a photographer in his youth and founded Tiffen Optical with his brothers) but never considered photography a serious expression of my artwork. I had a classic art school education, was a potter, successfully designed my own line of wallpaper, and learned to love the computer and computer graphics. Someone stole my camera on a trip to London. I came home and bought my first digital camera.
My world as an artist changed; it all comes together through the lens of my camera.
Life is a series of moments, some stay with you, others are fleeting. My photographs are things that caught my eye, said something in the moment, that now can be on your walls, in your home, to enjoy forever.
