Jax Art Bazaar (Jacqueline McDonnell) is an artist based in Queens NY. She has been working on her cartoons out of journals she kept since 2019. She began to brand herself as Jax in 2021. Often depicting Animals, commonly found objects and nature in her work, Jax finds joy in the idea of transforming the ordinary. Eye catching is always the goal. Her ideas stem from wanting to have her work viewed with a comedic or oftentimes ironic lens, while still being relatable. Leaning into a more emphasized use of color and dramatic shapes is a must for each piece.
