Jamie Banks is the founder of Change of Scenery, a luxury Swim and Resortwear brand based in Port Washington focused on timeless design, thoughtful fit, and sustainable materials. After more than 20 years in the fashion industry—including over a decade leading ready-to-wear design at Kate Spade—Jamie launched Change of Scenery in 2022 to create chic, supportive swimwear for women who want to feel confident and comfortable on vacation and beyond.

Today, Change of Scenery is sold on its own website and at retailers including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, and specialty boutiques throughout the United States.

A longtime Port Washington resident and mother of three, Jamie is passionate about building a business that reflects her values. Change of Scenery swimsuits are made from recycled materials, and the brand is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, donating a portion of sales to environmental causes. Through this partnership, Change of Scenery is proud to support Residents Forward and the organization’s work protecting and preserving the Port Washington community.

While creating products inevitably has an environmental impact, Jamie believes that brands have a responsibility to thoughtfully reduce that impact wherever they can. From the beginning, Change of Scenery has prioritized recycled materials and responsible production practices to create beautiful products with the least environmental impact.
