Climate Garden Lab

Younger students will be mentored by Middle and High School students while working in the garden growing vegetables and learning about our food system and how they can address climate change.

Students are digging deeper into Sustainable Science!

  • They are using a grid layout to map out their gardens

  • They’re analyzing soil samples, creating data charts and determining how to best irrigate their plot

Innovation is in full bloom as students begin designing a vertical growing system building and using support structures to help their plants thrive.

Made possible by the Angela and Scott Jagger Foundation

  • All 5th - 12th grade students - no prior gardening experience needed. Program limited to 20 students.

  • 8 Sessions April through June Tuesday’s at 4:30pm.

  • Climate Awareness Garden at the Weber/Schreiber Track on Campus Drive.

  • There is a $25 registration fee per student.
