DIY CLEAN-UP STATION

This project is the brainchild of Marlene Friedberg and is in memory of her son Brett who attended Hobart and William Smith College and double majored in Economics and Environmental Studies.

Brett loved to sail and was passionate about climate change and lowering CO2 emissions. The artwork for the stations was lovingly created by local graphic artist Michelle Shain.

The stations are aesthetically pleasing and follow a theme, are educational, and provide easy instructions and most importantly are a memorable memorial for Brett. Passersby can grab a bag and a glove and clean up litter anytime.

Marlene Friedberg and her family are also sponsoring a 1st-Grade Tree Heroes Program for all the Port Washington Elementary Schools.
